The tournament is played under 2024-2025 Season age groups
Teams must use 2024-2025 Player ID Cards.
The Anaheim Cup is open to all Boys & Girls U7/2018 - U15/2010.
“This tournament is unrestricted. Teams registered in good standing with any U.S. Soccer Federation affiliate are eligible to apply.”
The Tournament is Sanctioned by US Club Soccer
Player ID Cards need to ALL be from the same National Association (i.e USYS-All States Associations or US Club Soccer, USSA or AYSO) Player ID CARDS cannot be mixed. This includes guest players.
If you have guest players that need an ID Card for one the National Associations - USYS- All States Associations, US Club Soccer, USSA or AYSO, contact your Club/Organization Registrar and ask them to Register the player in the National Association the Club is an Affiliate/Member with.
This is a tournament sanctioning rule and has to do with insurance. It is not just an Anaheim Cup rule.
Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted.
Requests for (DROPS) withdrawals from the tournament will only be accepted from Administrators (Contact Person or Coach) listed on the teams application for the tournament.
Teams that drop after receiving the team acceptance notification are subject to forfeit their entire application fee.
** When Refunds are provided the team will be assessed a $75.00 administrative fee.
U7/2018 & U10/2015 Age Groups play 7v7
U11/2014 & U12/2013 Age Groups play 9v9
U13/2012 to U15/2010 Age Groups play 11v11
Tournament Dates: The tournament will be held on January 11-12, 2025. The tournament spans two days with pool play Saturday and Sunday concluding with championship games Sunday afternoon.
Rainout Dates: January 18-19, 2025
Late Registration: Teams applying after January 1, 2025 will be accessed an additional $75.00 and will be placed on a waiting list.
Acceptance of any team that submits an application after the deadline is at the sole discretion of the tournament committee. Any late team that is not accepted will receive a full refund.
Loaned Players: Unlimited loaned players will be allowed.
Maximum Roster Size:
- U7/2018 & U10/2015 - 12 Players
- U11/2014 & U12/2013 - 16 Players
- U13/2012 & U15/2010 - 18 Players
Games: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games.
COMPETITION FORMAT
- U7/2018 & U10/2015 Age Groups play 7v7
- U11/2014 & U12/2013 Age Groups play 9v9
- U13/2012 to U15/2010 Age Groups play 11v11
Duration of preliminary games and semi-final games:
- U7/2018 to U15/2010 games 50 minutes
Championship Games are as follows:
- U7/2018 to U10/2015 ~ 50 minutes
- U11/2014 to U12/2013 ~ 60 minutes
- U13/2012 to U15/2010 ~ 70 minutes
Bracketing: It is the intent of the tournament to bracket in flights of 6, 8 or 12 teams. Variations may occur based on total teams entered or subsequent team drops.
Awards: Each participant will receive a tournament pin.
The 2025 Anaheim Cup Award will be presented to the championship coach.
Medals: Champion and Finalist medals will be presented to those teams participating in the final match
